Following his clear mod for the Galaxy S8, YouTuber JerryRigEverything has posted a new video applying a similar mod on his LG G6. The mod was much simpler to do on the LG G6 due to its less complex construction, with the process of removing the color from the rear glass panel being very easy when compared to that of the Galaxy S8.
Like the Galaxy S8, the LG G6 will also end up missing out on wireless charging post the mod but in the end, your G6 will look much more attractive and futuristic with its transparent clear back cover. The usual caveats apply with this mod: you will lose out on the standard warranty of your device and you will need a steady pair of hands and tools for the whole process. Between the clear Galaxy S8 and the LG G6, I prefer the look of the latter as it looks cleaner and more attractive. Which phone do you like more with a clear back panel?
