According to Droid Life, Google Play Music users will receive alerts to migrate to the new platform by the end of the year. There are no details on how the playlists and songs saved in the users’ account will be migrated. The app is also used to store up to 50,000 tracks purchased separately, but there is still no information on what will happen to these files. In a statement, the tech giant Google remembers that it unified the product teams of YouTube Music and Google Play, but says “nothing will change for users today, and we will give you several warnings before any changes are made.” Inside Google, the new service is designed to become a strong competitor to Spotify. The goal is to attract users by offering better recommendations and giving the option to display clips next to the songs. The initial prediction was that the Remix would be released in March.
