Recently, researchers at MalwareHunter Team have found a new type of ransomware that locks user’s computer unless they play PleyerUnknown’s Battlegrounds. Well, this ransomware is the little bit different because it doesn’t ask for money, instead, it just wants you to have a fun time playing PUBG. The recent reports from Kotaku claim that the PUBG Ransomware restricts users from using the computer as soon as it infects the system and displays a ransom screen. However, the ransom screen could be a paradise for Gamers because it just asks users to play PUBG Game and have fun. The ransom note displayed on the screen reads “Your files is encrypted [sic] by PUBG Ransomware! But don’t worry! It is not that hard to unlock it. I don’t want money! Just play PUBG 1Hours [sic]!”

You all might be wondering that it’s just a troll software and does nothing. However, Malware experts have confirmed that the PUBG ransomware actually locks down the file. However, the ransomware creator is not very good at doing it because users can easily bypass the ransomware, however, it would just be better to play the game instead. The PUBG Ransomware actually encrypts users’ desktop files and unlocks them after three minutes of playing PUBG. Incidentally, the ransomware itself offers an unlock code, if you’re just not willing to play the game. So, what do you think about this? Share your views in the comment box below.
