This means that all USB chargers going forward will be certified based on their specifications, which should reduce confusion among consumers and reduce any risk of a device malfunctioning due to it being charged from the wrong charger. This move from USB-IF will ensure less confusion among consumers on which USB charger to buy going forward and ensure that your devices are not at risk of frying themselves.
