When HTC announced the One way back in February, it stated that the phone will be available on all the major networks in the United States including Verizon. However, the company forgot to mention that the One will actually retail sometime six months down the line on the big red’s network. Yes, the One is finally coming to Verizon’s network on the 22nd day of this month (August 22). Verizon will be selling the 32GB variant of the One for $199 on a two-year contract. The only point of differentiation between the Verizon’s One and the other variants of the One in the United States will be Android 4.2.2. Verizon is going to be the only carrier that is going to boast about the One running Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean with Sense 5, while other One variants patiently wait for their OTA update. The One has met with great success, both critically and sales wise, but has been continuously marred with supply and distribution issues. The launch of the handset was limited until April end, before production picked up and supply and distribution networks were increased.
