Vodafone customers are required to purchase the Bharat 2 Ultra at an upfront price of Rs 2,899. Thereafter the customers need to recharge a minimum of Rs 150/month for the next three years. At the end of 18 months, the customers will get a cashback of Rs 900 or Rs 1,000 in if the Vodafone “M-Pesa” valet is chosen. This translates into a total cash back of Rs 1,900 thus the effective pricing for the Vodafone bundled Micromax Bharat 2 Ultra comes to just Rs 999. That being said unlike the JioPhone the Rs 2,899 paid upfront for the Vodafone Micromax Bharat 2 Ultra is not completely refundable. This is what Rahul Sharma, Co-Founder Micromax had to say, “This partnership with Vodafone will bring in the next phase of smartphone adoption by helping consumers to upgrade from feature phones to smartphones.” He further added that “We want to give superior device experience in an affordable way and ‘Bharat’ range is a testimony of the same, having already sold more than two million handsets.” As far as specifications are concerned, the Bharat 2 Ultra comes powered by a Spreadtrum SC9832 1.3GHz quad-core processor paired with 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage. The display is a 4-inch WVGA unit and the camera options include a 2-Megapixel primary sensor and a 0.3-Megapixel secondary sensor. The device runs on the dated Android Marshmallow and is backed by a 1,300mAh battery. The Micromax Bharat 2 Ultra will be available in Vodafone Stores and other retail outlets from the first week of November.
